The above are picutres of the completed cushions which were altered for us by Angela Gillespie of West Side Knitwear and Harris Tweed Crafts, Barvas.
Angela had 21 cushions to alter, and 2 to make, one for the pulpit and one for the Precentor’s Box. This cushion is yet to be made once we establish the size of the seat.
This work took Angela three weeks. Angela requested that she be given 7 cushions at a time. Each cushion took an hour to complete by hand, but the time taken has been well worth the end result – thank you! A big thank you also goes to Iain Don of Alex Murray Construction who transported the cushions to Barvas and back each week.
